Receiving the offer:
• Ask to get the offer in writing.
• Carefully evaluate every part of your offer before you decide to
accept it or decline it.
• Don’t hesitate to contact the employer if you have any
questions.
Extending the offer deadline:
•
You may ask the employer for an extension if you need
more time to decide.
• Be
sure to have a reasonable date in mind before contacting them.
• Inform ECAC about any "exploding offers." (See
FAQ page for more information.)
Accepting the offer:
• Stop your job search. Speak to
a counselor at ECAC to cancel your remaining
interviews and withdraw any existing resume submissions.
• Decline your other offers (graciously).
• Complete ECAC’s online
Job Report Form.
