What do ChE co-ops do?

UT Austin’s Chemical Engineering co-ops have:

  • Developed an energy model for a manufacturing plant to improve energy efficiency and reduce costs (ExxonMobil).
  • Performed physical, chemical, and microbiological testing of personal care products to ensure appropriate shelf-life (Kimberly-Clark).
  • Followed political debate over mercury emission regulations, investigated current mercury research projects, and researched mercury control technologies (LCRA).
