  • Suit: Two piece, single breasted, navy blue or charcoal gray, wool or wool blend, solid or with thin pinstripes.
  • Shirt: All cotton, well-ironed, long-sleeved, white with a standard or button-down collar is preferred.
  • Tie: Silk in simple stripe or repeating pattern. The background color should be neutral – navy blue or dark red look good. Bright yellow or the entire power-tie concept is no longer popular. Avoid “story ties” that have too much on them and can be distracting.
  • Shoes: Footwear should be leather, black, polished, and in a simple or wing-tip style. Socks should be without a pattern and match your pants or shoes in color.
  • Hair: Short to medium hair is acceptable and should be well groomed.
  • General: Avoid wearing cologne. Do not wear white socks. Avoid jewelry such as earrings and necklaces.
