ECAC has a three strike policy, similar to policies at other career centers, which is designed to protect the integrity of the Cockrell School of Engineering, ECAC, and UT engineering students.

Two ways to receive a strike:
  1. Fail to choose an interview time after being selected as a primary interview candidate by a company
  2. Fail to show for interview after choosing an interview time ("No-Show")

Each strike places a temporary bar on a student's record preventing the student from using ECAC's interactive services.  The student must speak with a counselor to remove the bar.

A student who accumulates three strikes will be prohibited from using the interviewing system.

Quick Tips:
  1. A student is not obligated to interview with a company if the student did not submit a resume to that company
  2. Students must talk to an ECAC counselor to cancel an interview
